Wellness

If you know me, you know—this is my obsession. I spend a big chunk of my free time researching, experimenting, testing, and talking about all things health and wellness. My ultimate goal is to feel vibrant and full of life, so I’m willing to try just about anything to get there.

I’ve narrowed it down to my top recommendations, but this list will always be a work in progress. Some picks are straightforward, while others are a little unconventional—take what works for you!

Favourite tools

  • ozone therpy

    Ozone therapy

This has literally changed my life. I went through a series of random health issues a few years ago and this therapy changed everything. People use it for mold detoxification, SIBO, cell oxygenation, increased energy, mitochondrial health, liver detox, skin health, hair growth and so much more.

I feel a significant uptick in energy when I use it regularly.

The machine I have is not the one I have listed, here but this is the one I would get going forward despite being more expensive. The reviews are excellent and the materials used to make it are cleaner.

  • infrared sauna heavy metal detox

    Infrared Sauna

I wasn’t a sweater until I started using a sauna regularly. I have a history of heavy metal toxicity and I have done a lot to work through it, but in hindsight a regular sauna use would have been a more effective detox route.

Some people aren’t too fussed about EMFs in the sauna, but for me it was imperative to find one with low EMF emissions. Radiant Health is a great options for 1 persons saunas.

  • Red light therapy

    Red Light Therapy

I really saw the power of red light therapy when healing my C-section scar. I was very diligent about it in the weeks and months post-partum and my scar now is minimal.

The benefits of Red Light and Far-Infrared waves are wide ranging and the research vast. I have a small hand held unit that I love for easy use. I find I use it most in winter and rely on day- / sunlight in the summer.

  • HigherDose Infrared PEMF Mat Biohacking for Women

    Infrared PEMF Mat

I love this mat! It warms you up with infrared heat and blasts you with healing PEMF frequencies, a layer of crystal therapy for added healing. I always sleep better after a session on the mat. I got the mat because of the benefits and supporting research of PEMF (Pulsed Electro Magnetic Frequencies). This technology has been shown to speed up healing of bones and wounds, reduce pain and tissue swelling and more. It brings the body to a calm state which helps the healing process.

They make a chair size one that would be amazing for a desk chair.

  • Lourdes Hydrofix Molecular Hydrogen

    Lourdes Hydrofix Molecular Hydrogen

Molecular hydrogen is the smallest antioxidant so it does wonders for the skin, it is also used for energy, muscle recovery post workout and anti aging. It is my ongoing obsession obsessed with molecular hydrogen.

  • ASEA Redox Gel natural healing

    ASEA Redox Gel

This is a miracle healer. I use it on any cut or scrape and it heals very quickly and with minimal scaring. With kids this is a must have in all bags, drawer and even car. Super speed healing.

  • Blue Light Blocking Light Clip BluBlox

    Blue Light Blocking Light Clip

I am very careful about light exposure at night. I have incandecent bulbs all over my house and for reading I love this Blue Light Blocking Light Click from BluBlox.

Teeth

After reading Nadine Artemis’ Holistic Dental Care I dramatically changed my dental care and saw huge results. I am the daughter of a Brit with bad teeth, I thought it was inherited, but turns out there is a lot you can do to protect and repair your teeth that doesn’t involve a dentist.

  • Holistic Dental Care, Nadine Artemis

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more.

  • Ionic tooth brush by Dr Tungs

Ionic tooth brush by Dr Tungs

This tooth brush breaks the ionic bond between the teeth and the plaque, effectively removing plaque from your teeth. It’s very cool indeed.

  • Neem Enamelizer Toothpaste

    Neem Enamelizer Alkalinizing Toothpaste

I think Nadine Artemis is rad. Especially when it comes to dental health. Read her book and check out her youtube video on how to care for your teeth.

Her dental products are not for the colgate lover, but they are extremely effective and your teeth will feel very clean. I love this toothpaste. Check it out.

  • Yogi Teeth Serum by Living libations

    Yogi Tooth Serum

I use this on my floss morning and evening after I brush my teeth. This is part of Nadine Artemis’ dental protocol.

  • PurO3 Ozonated Toothpaste

    PurO3 Ozonated Toothpaste

As already noted, I love ozone. It is an amazing antiseptic. I use this on my teeth as a final step with a gum brush.

  • Vitamin K by Mitolife

    Vitamin K

Minerals are the basis of most pathways in the body, yet we need helpers to make sure that the minerals get where they need to be (transportation system) and do what they need to do (managers and helpers). Generally speaking, Fat soluble vitamins like A, D, E & K work synergistically with many minerals in the body. Vitamin K in particular is really important for strong bones and teeth. It can support the remineralization of the body and in particular, the teeth.

Skin

  • Facelift in a Jar by DMSO. store

Facelift in a Jar by DMSO. store

This stuff is nothing short of a miracle. My skin felt so supple and soft after just a few uses. I have never felt something work so quickly on my face. I got the large jar to apply liberally. The science is also fascinating, but you cannot use over or before any make up or products that are not very very clean. DMSO makes more skin more permeable.

  • Lyma Laser

    Lyma Laser

This thing is amazing. You have to do it daily for 3 months to see the results, but once they start to poke through you will be amazed. After a session I literally see my wrinkles disappear.

  • Clarité Wellness Skin care

    Clarité Wellness

Colette from Clarité is a skin whisperer. If you are so lucky to have a facial with her in your life time your mind will be blown. She reads your soul through your face.

Luckily she now does 30 min phone consultations where she will read your face and give you tips on how to improve your skin.

    I highly recommend this.

  • Flavio Vilhais in Lisbon

    Flavio Vilhais in Lisbon

If you find yourself in Lisbon, you must book a facial with Flavio. He is a gem and knows skin inside and out. He will give it to you straight and recommend the best strategy for your skin. I am in love.

  • Ziip

    Ziip

My skin is something that I struggle with. Like the British Teeth, I have always thought that my skin was from that side of the family as my mother has had beautiful skin always. But now I am starting to realize that it is likely due to stress, anxiety and mineral imbalances due to nutritional deficiencies. Not a lot I can reverse, but this device definitely makes a big difference in the appearance of my skin. I did the 1 month challenge recently and my skin was glowing.

If you have access to facialists who use this technology then you can have someone do it for you with stronger frequencies. I hear that 10 sessions makes a huge difference. And if you live in the middle of know where like me, home facials are where it is at.

  • Skinpen Microneedling

    Skinpen Microneedling

I have taken Flavios advice and started a series of Skin Pen sessions to reduce wrinkles, enlarged pores and to bring vitality back into my skin. So far it is working. He doesn’t recommend the PRP but instead peptides, so for now I am just doing the microneedling. This treatment is A LOT cheaper in Europe than it is in North America.

  • CACI Microcurrent

    CACI Microcurrent

I have not done this yet as I don’t have a practitioner near by, but it is definitely on my list of treatments to get to. If you have a practitioner near you it is worth a try.

Lymph

  • Supercharge Copper Body Brush by HigherDose

Best dry brush I have ever used. It has the perfect amount of scratch with the grounding effect of the copper ions.

  • Gua Sha Tool by Wilding

I must admit, I am not the most diligent with this tool, but when I am consistent the results are stunning.

  • Best Gua Sha tool ever

    Best Gua Sha Tool

I know this sounds insane, but trust me on this. The wide mouth mason jar lid is hands down the best body gua sha tool out there. The grip is perfection and the texture of the lid does the job. (Thanks Tanner!)

Supplements

  • Lyma Supplements

    Lyma Supplements

Two very noticeable things have changed since I started taking this supplement, I see baby hairs coming our all over my head. The other noticeable change is that the skin on my hands and lower legs which was always dry no matter what I did, is now (mostly) never dry and always supple. Because my tendency is towards dryer skin, I do still get dry after long flights or if I don’t manage my hydration.

  • Rootcology Electrolyte Blend by Izabella Wentz

    Electrolyte Blend

I really like this blend because it goes beyond the basics of sodium, potassium and magnesium, in most of the popular electrolytes powders. This blend also contains D-ribose for energy and cardiac function, taurine to help with the flow of electrolytes in the body, Vitamin C with bioflavonoids and quercetin which aids in the production of collagen. I think this is a really comprehensive formula. For Canadians, the other blend I really like is Designs for Health, Electrolyte Synergy. I generally take this first thing in the morning. And sometimes a few times through out the day depending on my hydration needs.

  • Manna Shijalit

    Manna Shijalit

When you take this product you can feel it working. It is Shijalit from the Himalayas with sea water plasma from the Antartic Sea and ormus from the Dead Sea. Basically a mineral bomb.

  • Best probiotics Seed

    Probiotics by Seed

Besides loving everything this brand stand for from quality of product, to packaging and a learning platform, this shit works. Give it a whirl, you wont’ be disappointed.

  • Multi mineral shijalit fulvic acid humic acid

    Shijalit by MitoLife

After having my kid my teeth, skin and hair were suffering (not to mention my brain function!). After a ton of research I realized that in pregnancy you loose 4 lbs (!!) that’s 10% of your minerals to the babe. I started uping my minerals. Shijalit has been a game changer. I can feel the difference in my teeth, skin and hair and my energy is so much better. Make sure you get a high quality clean brand, I love MitoLife products.

  • magnesium bicarbonate b y live pristine

    Magnesium Bicarbonate by Pristine Hydro

Magnesium is one of those minerals that we must supplement because our soils and water are now depleted. The reason is our body needs magnesium to carry out 3700 enzymatic reactions. That is a lot. If you don’t have the right amount of magnesium, your body will slow down. I like this type of magnesium because it is gentle on the stomach and easy to drink. I can really feel the difference when I take it consistently.

  • Organ Meat liver pills prometabolic

    Liver Capsules by Saturée

I have been severely iron deficient my whole life and it wasn’t until I STOPPED taking iron pills and starting eating raw liver, that my health started to really shift. Taking iron is very bad for the system. It is a toxin. The reason why blood analysis often shows low iron blood serum levels is because it is stored in the tissues wrecking havoc.

The deficiency actually lies in copper because our soils are depleted, we no longer eat organ meat and most people little to no shellfish. By upping copper intake you are increasing the bodies ability to utilize iron. These pills are a great substitute if you can’t stomach the real stuff.

I like these ones because they are freeze dried instead of desiccated thereby keeping the nutrients as intact as possible.

  • methylene blue oxygen uptake benets

    Methylene Blue

I have strained relationship with caffeine. And while I don’t drink much coffee, mostly Mate and Matcha, my consumption can get out of control. Every once in a while I reign it in and stop cold turkey.

Since taking Methylene Blue I am on 1 matcha a day. This compound increases your body’s ability to update oxygen and the effects are mental clarity and drive. I take low doses a few times a week to get me into work mode. My brain fog is nonexistent.

It isn’t an easy one to find. There is a company called Troscriptions (that I have yet to try) that makes troches with set doses. But most companies sell droppers for individual dosing.

  • Vitamin K bone health energy production

    Vitamin K by MitoLife

I take vitamin K for brain, nerve, dental, heart and bone health as well as energy production.

During my pregnancy and after I had some serious dental decay from mineral loss. Vitamin K has changed my smile. My teeth have recovered visibly without a dentist.

  • Grass Fed Beef Collagen

Collagen is a great way to get enough protein in. I put it in all my drinks. There are lots of great brands out there, important to get the cleanest grass fed option possible.

  • Graas Fed Beef Gelatin

    Grass Fed Beef Gelatin

The amino acid glycine found in gelatin has a calming effect and supports methylation among other benefits. Homemade jello made with juice and honey is a staple in my kitchen. My kid and I love this snack.

    1/3 cup gelatin

    1 L pomegranate Juice

    1 L black cherry juice

    honey to taste

Put gelatin in juice and let sit to ‘bloom’ for 5 mins. Then add honey and warm on med low. Transfer to glass platter and in fridge until it solidifies.

Free tips

  • circadian rhythm melatonin outside first thing

    Get outside first thing

You can’t buy this, and sometimes it takes a little extra motivation, but this is such an important start to the day. Just 5 mins. It wakes you up and lets your body know that it is time to get up. It sets you up for good sleep in the evening.

  • matcha tea

Drink caffeine 90 mins after waking

By delaying your morning caffeine you give your body time for cortisol to rise naturally. This is your bodies natural boost.

  • Caffeine after food

    Drink caffeine after food

Caffeine can be stressful to the system. By drinking after food and preferably with collagen (protein), milk (fat) and sweetener (carb), your body can harness the benefits of caffeine and not the gitters.

  • incandecent bulbs to reduce blue light

    Use incandecent bulbs

I do my utmost in my house to not have any blue light at night. Some people go as far as red non flicker bulbs, but I do incandescent.

  • Turn your screen red & create a shortcut to turn it on

    TURN ON RED TINT

Go to Settings > Accessibility > Display and Text Size > Colour Filters

Enable “Color Filters” with the switch at the top of the screen, then select “Color Tint” as your filter. Then use the Intensity and Hue sliders to strengthen the red effect. Both should be in the far right position for maximum redness.

    CREATE A SHORT CUT

Go to Settings > Accessibility, then scroll to the bottom and select “Accessibility Shortcut.” Choose the “Color Filters” option from the list. Done.

Short cut is activated by triple-clicking the right side button to turn the screen red.

I live in a self made lab. I am constantly testing new things. The ultimate goal is energy and good sleep. Happy hacking.
