Handmade

I love creating and always have multiple projects on the go. Lately, I’ve been diving into knitting and sewing. Here are some patterns I adore!

Sewing

  • The Thelma by Merchant & Mills

The Thelma by Merchant & Mills

I made two of these and I can’t get enough. They are my uniform. The pattern was a bit technical for me but I was able to figure it out with some help.

I made it in the UK size 6 which is the smallest size and I had to add a few cm in length to make it work. I hear that the bigger sizes get quite wide in the hips. I am. not good enough yet to make adjust the pattern for my man, he desperately wants one!

  • Bisque Trousers by Vivian Shao Chen

These are next on my list of things to make in time for summer. I love what @stitching.poetry did with the pattern adding the paperbag waist. They are perfect.

  • Agnes PJs by Paper Theory Patterns

Agnes PJs by Paper Theory Patterns

I am in the throws of this project. First making the original and then will follow @stitching.poetry’s steps and make the PJ top into a jacket sans the collar. I can’t wait. Check out @stitching.poetry on IG please, she is rad.

  • Ponoma Pants by Anna Allen

    Ponoma Pants by Anna Allen

I have been on an endless search for the perfect winter PJs. (When I say winter, I mean real winter, not southern climes winter, it gets chilly here!) I am going to make these bottoms in a soft cozy cotton. Stay tuned.

  • The Harlene by Merchant & Mills

The Harlene by Merchant & Mills

It’s in the queue. I chose a dark denim for this one. It will be my go to garden attire. I actually have a garden now - despite not knowing what I am doing - so I will look the part. Although, lets be real, all of my gardening friends don’t wear gardening outfits, so I will likely look out of place. Whatever. Can’t wait. Summer is here!

Knitting

  • Sailor Soft by Anne Ventzel

    Sailor Soft by Anne Ventzel

I cannot wait to wear this sweater. It is an amazing beginners project and feels so delicious.

  • Cardi Cocoon by Anne Ventzel

    Cardi Cocoon by Anne Ventzel

I’m making this in a deep forest green, and while it feels like it’s going to take forever, I’m thoroughly enjoying the challenge!

  • Jeol sweater by Aegyoknit

What can I say, I am obsessed. I am in the process of knitting it and so far I love.

  • Spot Sweater by Anne Ventzel

    Spot Sweater by Anne Ventzel

Anne Ventzel is a very talented designer. I absolutely love her designs, and they are very technical. This sweater was a feat, but so worth the time and effort.

  • Slanting Slipover by Anne Ventzel

    Slanting Slipover by Anne Ventzel

This was the first design I made of Anne Ventzels and it was not easy. I like to multi task while I knit but this required full attention. Such a beauty though, definitely worth the challenge.

  • Cumulus Top by Petite Knit

    Cumulus Top by Petite Knit

I love this top. Perfect for summer. I have had a hard time finding the right yarn in brighter colors so I have settled on black until I find more. I have a feeling I will be living in this this summer.

  • Harper Jacket by Caidree

    Harper Jacket by Caidree

I made this for myself and had to take it out because it was a bit too tight in the shoulders! Luckily it is a very quick knit. You can finish in a day. I also made one each in the children’s size for my goddaughters. So adorable.

  • Olden Top by Witre Design

    Olden Top by Witre Design

This is a very quick top to make. The yarn is thick and quick. The pattern isn’t super clear throughout but simple enough to figure it out.

  • Compliment Sweater by Strikke Kaffe

    Compliment Sweater by Strikke Kaffe

I love the camel on black stripe in the Mohair / Wool combo. I am going to try to fit this one in at some point. Will have to start a project calendar!

  • Wednesday Sweater by Petite Knit

    Wednesday Sweater by Petite Knit

This is the coziest sweater in my closet. Borderline too hot to wear indoors, but perfect for deep winter. I made it in deep forest green. I made it the M but in hindsight I would prefer it in the L for an even more oversized look.

  • Noah Vest by Skall Studio

    Noah Vest by Skall Studio

Love this and love Skall Studios. Their commitment to conscious consumption is on point.

  • September Sweater by Petite Knit with Lia Lykke Alteration

September Sweater by Petite Knit w/ Lia Lykke Alteration

I envision this on in a dark oily blue green. At this point this is likely 2 years out. But still obsessed.

I love the changes Lia Lykke made to this pattern. Her version is on Ravelry.

  • Ingeborg by Petite Knit

    Ingeborg by Petite Knit

A quick fix for cold ears.

  • A Simple Hood by Lia Lykke

A Simple Hood by Lia Lykke

This is a great hood to wear with any hoodless coat. It was fun to make, the start is a bit tricky but I just DM’d the designer on IG and she sent me some videos.

  • Hanstholm Sweater by Petite Knit

    Hanstholm Sweater by Petite Knit

I made this sweater for my man a few years ago and he hasn’t taken it off since. I made it in charcoal.
